The fact of the matter in the animal rescue world is that most City’s and Towns Animal Controls facilities are understaffed and have embarrassingly low budgets. These facilities rely highly on volunteers and donations to run the shelters and help at any given time with any situation that may arise.
These unsung hero’s in the animal world that clean up kennels, litter boxes, sweep ,mop, do laundry, walk dogs, feed all animals, change bedding, accept and sort donated goods, just to name a few punch list items. Often these light budgets keep the facilities in poor conditions as well.
